Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Nookwall?
Nookwall is a DIY, Expandable, Room Divider/Temporary Wall System.
  • What is Nookwall made of?
Nookwall is made of two components of telescoping compression poles and fleece fabric panels. It is lightweight, portable, configurable, expandable, adjustable, and washable. The poles are placed approximately 5 Ft apart and the fleece fabric spans from pole to pole by plastic c-clamps to create the overall surface of the wall.
  • Are the the fabric panels stiff like a board?
The panels are similar to a fleece blanket. They are shipped to you folded or rolled and can be folded or rolled when not in use. When setup and spanning from pole to pole they are held tautly and have a neat, clean look.
  • Are there color choices for Nookwall?
Yes, there are several colors from which to choose. Samples are available on the on-line store for a nominal cost just to cover the cost of shipping.
  • Can Nookwall fall over?
No. Nookwall is held strongly by the spring in the compression poles. When setup property, it will not fall over.

  • Do I need tools to set up Nookwall?
No tools are needed to set up Nookwall. All the parts are held in place by their own design mechanism. All you need is a step ladder or a chair to be able to place the fabric on the top of the pole near the ceiling.
  • What should my ceiling height be?
Nookwall works for ceilings of 7 Ft to 9 Ft high. If your ceiling is higher, please contact us and we can discuss a special solution for you.
  • How big are the fleece panels?
The fleece panels are 5 Ft wide x 8 Ft high. To reduce the height, fold down at the top. For example if you want your panel to be 7'-6", you can fold it horizontally by 6" at the top. To reduce in width, roll or drape at either end to reduce width up to 2', so a 5' wide panel can be 3' wide. The fleece can also be cut with scissors to reduce in size to meet your needs.
  • Can you see through Nookwall?
No. You cannot see through the Nookwall fabric. They provide full visual privacy.
  • Does Nookwall work with drop/lay-in tile ceilings?
Nookwall is designed to work with ceilings which are a hard, flat surface such as drywall. If your ceiling is a drop/lay-in tile ceiling then the poles must be placed on the grid otherwise the spring mechanism in the pole will push up the ceiling tile. • Is there a door?
There are two types of "doors". The "drape door" and the "pole door." The drape door works by removing some of the c-clamps from the fabric and walking through. You can then re-apply the c-clamp if desired. The pole door works by pushing down on the pole which shortens it from the ceiling and walking through. You then allow the pole to spring back up against the ceiling. Videos showing each of the doors are on the home page of the website. https://www.nookwalls.com/
